Palm Beach County Convention Center Garage

Civil Design, Inc. was the civil engineer of record for the 2,740 parking space multilevel parking garage located next to the Palm Beach County Convention Center. The garage consists of 9 total levels with 1 underground level, 1 ground level, and 7 elevated decks. The project also includes a new covered entry component for the Convention Center. 

 

Project grading and accessibility were paramount in the design process to address eleven (11) feet of grade differential between the main floor convention center and the access drive to the garage basement level entrance.

 

CDI provided extensive utility and multi-project coordination to address existing utilities and design interface between the site, the adjacent roadways and the adjacent hotel project. Hydraulic modeling and evaluation of the existing drainage system included not only the site, but the entire drainage system from the convention center through Florida Avenue to Howard Park.

Palm Beach County Jail Expansion
WEST CTY DETENTION

Located on three existing sites throughout Palm Beach County, this project represented approximately $272M in construction costs to upgrade and expand Palm Beach County criminal justice facilities at the Belle Glade, Stockade and Gun Club sites.  Scope included design, permitting and construction phase services related to water, sewer, drainage, paving and general site improvements. 

 

The project implementation included specific consideration for maintaining operations at existing sites as well as time certain deadlines to coordinate opening of related facilities at different sites.

Verde Elementary School

Completed in the summer of 2020 this project consists of 129,128 square feet of new building construction with classrooms, administrative area, media center, kitchen, multi-purpose/dining, dance and music classrooms.

 

Civil Design, Inc. provided civil engineering  services associated with paving, grading and drainage site components, and the new infrastructure supporting the new school's domestic water, fire, sanitary, grease waste,  extra spare to allow for future expansion, and storm systems. Outside agency approvals included SFWMD - Environmental Resource Permit (ERP), and City of Boca Raton Utilities.

St. Marks Episcopal Church and School Expansion

Civil Design, Inc. was the civil engineer of record for the multi-phased campus redevelopment and expansion program consisting of selective demolition, new buildings and associated site features for the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church & School private campus, and new gymnasium.

Publix Supermarket at Lee Square

Civil Design, Inc. was the civil engineer of record for the site development to include a new Publix Store with an adjacent 19,940 SF Office Depot at the existing Lee Square (NE corner of Jog Road & Lantana Road) in unincorporated Palm Beach County. Designed in compliance with the Publix Supermarket Site Development Manual.

Ibis Country Club Expansion & New Sports Village

Civil Design, Inc. provided civil engineering  services associated with paving, grading and drainage site components, and the new infrastructure supporting the new Ibis Country Club Sports Village, and phased Country Club expansion, Porte Cochere and new Golf Training Facility.

Wellington Green, Parcel F

Civil Design, Inc. provided civil engineering  services associated with paving, grading and drainage site components supporting Parcel F located at the northwest corner of the Wellington Green Mall Complex. This parcel houses a Publix Fresh Market, Panera and several other retail tenants.
